Every time I drive in there I lose my breath for a second. Truly a national treasure.<br /><br />I climb the Misty Trail up the Vernal Falls in 1980 after several years of heavy rain. The stones were covered in moss and algae and very slippery and it was kind of scary. By 2001 those same stone steps were bone dry and the falls were but a trickle. It's breathtaking. I've never done it with that kind of snow and ice though--very cool looking!<br />You should definitely do half dome.
