Good golly. That almost broke me.
I'm home from the Headlands 100 today, having finished in 22:55 - 5th overall, and 4th in age group (it's kind of a tough group).
Those Pacific Coast Trail Runs folks aren't kidding around with this race; the course is an absolute killer. It was definitely the hardest event I've ever done.
I'll have a full report later this week, which will also feature a lot of blogger love - because one certainty about the day was that I wouldn't have had the result I did, or enjoyed it nearly as much without a lot of help from my friends.
For now, I've been awake for about 30 straight hours, so I'm off to shower and catch up on some sleep.

Big Congrats Donald,
Way to rock it out and it is a cool thing being in the 100 mile club..
5th overall, very, very impressive.. Get some rest and don't forget to post a pic of the buckle as well.. Can't wait to read about the race.

Way to go, Donald! I am not surprised that you finished near the top. I can't wait to read the report.
Whoo-hoo Donald! Wow!
You made it! Yay! That first place guy was an animal. I've never seen so much competitive energy in one person. So fifth is pretty much like 4th because he was just crazy.
Awesome! And top 5 too! Sweet! Congrats! Can't wait to hear all about it!
Big congrats Donald! Very sweet! Recover well and look forward to reading the full report.

Congratulations, Donald! You looked so strong each time I saw you. I had to drive to Muir Beach so missed your finish - I apologize for not being there to hand you your finisher's shirt. Your marble coaster will be going out soon - complete with your name and (impressive!) finish time.
Congratulations again on your fine run, and thanks so much for letting us be your rebound hundred.

Man, you rock! Glad for you - and Rick:)
Donald, I hear you man. It's a tough tough run. I certainly under estimated the course when I ran it last year and I train here, done lots of races on these trails. People should never underestimate PCTR's creative ability to dish out a lot of hurt and tough love!
You almost broke because you were WHOPPING butt! Remember this these next few days of painful recovery:)
Wow...you did it! We're all so proud of you!!!

Donald, I trust you are awake and once again moving around. You are definitely in one tough age group, although I suspect you would not want it any other way.
